Super Rugby Pacific for 2022 Moana Pasifika and Fijian Drua latest new team

The Super Rugby Pacific competition will start off next February with the Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika groups affirmed to join the five New Zealand and five Australian establishments in the new contest.

The Super Rugby competition extended from a trans-Tasman rivalry into a four-mainland contest including groups from Argentina, South Africa, Japan, New Zealand and Australia until it was racked last year on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Fiji Rugby Union hasn't yet affirmed a home setting, albeit the Drua group has played in a moment level rivalry in Australia beforehand, winning the National Rugby Championship title in 2018.

World Rugby reported the proposed Super Rugby Pacific development in March.

Fiji has never progressed past the quarterfinals at the Rugby World Cup in the customary 15-a-side arrangement, yet has been predominant on the sevens circuit and has won the gold decoration in both Olympic men's rugby sevens competitions.
