Fijian Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the country's jail laws allow the leader of the Corrections Services to permit serving inmates participate in carrying sports.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum confirmed this in parliament after opposition MP Lenora Qereqeretabua asked for the coverage that allows a prisoner "to play in a countrywide rugby sevens competition."
